This data provides the foundation for understanding how patient acquisition, engagement, and retention strategies can be improved through applied marketing analytics

SourceLink, an industry-leading multichannel marketing services firm and statement solutions provider, announces a partnership with MassMedia Health to arm their clients with targeted data to help them grow their Medicare patient populations.

According to the Pew Research Center, over 10,000 Americans turn 65 every day, becoming eligible for Medicare – and it is estimated that this trend will continue for the next 19 years. This opportunity represents an enormous patient growth window for physician groups, but one that often goes overlooked.

As part of a partnership agreement with MassMedia Health, SourceLink will provide customized Age-In and Move-In market outlook reports that identify the number of individuals aging into Medicare within a geographic area. The Age-In and Move-In Market Outlook Reports are generated from accuLink™, SourceLink’s proprietary national consumer database that includes more than 260 million consumer records and 2,000+ data and lifestyle elements that are populated in the database and refreshed every six weeks.

“This data provides the foundation for understanding how patient acquisition, engagement, and retention strategies can be improved through applied marketing analytics,” said Merry Beth Ward, SourceLink’s VP of Healthcare Strategy. “By identifying those aging-in to a target market, healthcare companies have more insight into their growing market, allowing them to streamline efforts to their best prospects, leading to a higher return on investment.”

“Most healthcare organizations are focused on driving patient growth during the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (AEP), and aren’t as aggressive with their marketing efforts outside of that time period,” said Paula Yakubik, Managing Partner of MassMedia Health. “We have witnessed outstanding growth numbers outside of AEP with some national medical groups reporting more patient growth outside of AEP than during AEP.”

Research shows that individuals aging into Medicare begin reviewing their options as early as 12 months prior to their birthdate, and seven out of eight seniors are considering their coverage choices a full six months before their 65th birthday. Furthermore, it’s been proven that when seniors become patients of a medical group, they are statistically likely to remain with that plan. By providing plans with an Age-In Market Outlook Report, providers and healthcare administrators can recognize the opportunities that exist with this critical population near their clinics.
