Love Barre, the most innovative Barre studio in greater Austin, announced today its one-year anniversary. Located in the Round Rock Crossings shopping center at the intersection of I35 and the 45 toll road, Love Barre is perfect for women who live in Round Rock, Hutto, Pflugerville, and anyone who commutes through Round Rock for work.

Traditional barre classes incorporate elements from ballet, yoga and Pilates, where the exercises focus on isometric strength training combined with high reps of small range-of-motion movements. It also incorporates light handheld weights to increase intensity as well as mats for targeted core work. In short, Barre is a highly effective, low-impact full body workout that improves balance and posture and builds muscle. In fact, many orthopedic surgeons recommend Barre as a safe, effective, muscle-building exercise that doesn’t aggravate joints and greatly improves balance, which reduces the chance of falling – especially in older people. In addition to traditional Barre classes, Love Barre offers mini-trampoline cardio classes for those who really want to increase their cardio and extra flexibility classes that can provide relief from pain, increase range of motion of the joints, improved posture and provide a greater sense of well-being. A recent study by the American Council on Exercise {ACE} found one 30-minute mini-trampoline cardio class is the aerobic equivalent of running a 5k without the jarring impact.
