“We have always seen Brentwood Search as a company that seeks to place executives in roles where they will not only excel in the present but will meet the challenges that will come over time," said Marcia Basichis.

Marcia Basichis, Managing Partner of Brentwood Search, a retained head hunting firm, recently attended the recent ATX Automation Technology Show, in Anaheim, California. The show is billed as North America’s largest design manufacturing conference and a “don’t miss experience.” Hundreds of exhibitions for automation technology, robotics, and 3 D Printing are on display.

“I went to see a couple of clients who were exhibiting for the show,” said Basichis. “Seeing the product first hand gives us a better sense of what they are doing and how their innovations will impact the workforce and the national economy. As a retained search firm, it is important for Brentwood Search to stay current with the advancements in automation technology, robotics, and 3D Printing to recruit the most skilled hires within this space. We are already meeting with different related employers about how we can send them the best executive candidates in this expanding working environment.

“Brentwood Search is an El Segundo, California based company,” said Basichis. “However, we recruit executives for clients all over California and around the country. With clients involved in finance, entertainment, technology, and healthcare, it is essential to understand the significant advances in their respective spaces.”

Basichis pointed out that this year’s ATX Show featured many more exhibitors than last year and the turnout was three to five times larger than the attendance for the previous year. She noted how some of the robots on display were cheaper, more sophisticated, and in some cases able run on basic current.

“With robotics and 3 D Printing becoming cheaper, faster, and more sophisticated, we are about to experience a sea change in manufacturing and industrial technology,” said Basichis. “We have always seen Brentwood Search as a company that seeks to place executives in roles where they will not only excel in the present but will meet the challenges that will come over time. The more we learn about technology and robotics, the more we can ascertain what will be expected within the comprehensive workforce.”
