“Let’s face it, we are entering a new era in a different world," said Corra Group Co-Founder, Gordon Basichis." "The key for Corra Group is to understand that world and provide background checks that are both relevant and necessary for our clients. "

Corra Group recently attended the 2018 ATX Automation Technology Show, in Anaheim, California. The show is branded as the largest design manufacturing conference in North America’s, and a “don’t miss experience.” Hundreds of exhibitors have on display and in demo mode products for automation technology, robotics, and 3 D Printing.

“Corra Group is based in El Segundo, California,” said Corra Group Co-Founder, Gordon Basichis. El Segundo is one of the premier centers for defense, aerospace, robotics, and advanced technology. In El Segundo, some of the major innovators in this space are our neighbors. Corra Group offers its employment screening services to these companies as well as to business entities national and globally. With all the changes in the working environment, automation and robotics are key components in the expanding modern industries.

“The ATX Automation Technology Show was a major success,” said Basichis. “There were far more exhibitors than last year, and attendance had to be triple of what it was for the previous show. When I spoke to clients and other exhibitors, they told me business were coming to buy. Companies had extra financial allocations, based on the recent corporate tax cuts, and now they were looking to upgrade their manufacturing facilities.”

Basichis noted that the technology has improved in just the past year. He pointed out that the robots were cheaper, faster, and more sophisticated. He cited how some didn’t require their own power source but could run simply by plugging them into any standard electric outlet.

“We are seeing a major change in manufacturing and industry in general,” said Basichis. “There may in the long run be fewer employees, but those whose jobs endure will have advanced skill sets that will need to be verified, before hiring. At Corra Group, we conduct education verification and employment verification, as well as criminal and civil records checks. We assist our clients with background checks so that employers feel secure when offering a job to a candidate. The more we learn about the automation and robotics industry, the better we can advise our clients.”

Basichis pointed out that reviewing the exhibits enables greater insight into not only what technology is coming online but how it will be applied in a variety of industries.

“Let’s face it, we are entering a new era in a different world. The key for Corra Group is to understand that world and provide services that are both relevant and necessary for our clients. Our clients will be going through changes as automation expands in the workforce. And so will we. By going to conferences like the ATX, we have a better sense of where those changes will manifest and what services we can offer.
