The Lynx Group Is in the Running for a Major Award
CRANBURY, N.J. (PRWEB) February 20, 2018 -- The Lynx Group’s Digital Team has been named as a finalist for the 2018 Folio Digital Team of the Year Award, to be presented in the spring. The Folio: Digital Awards recognize outstanding digital individuals and teams for social media, web, and mobile initiatives.
The Lynx Group Digital Team has been involved in a number of major web projects this past year, including the redesign of the websites for the Academy of Oncology Nurse & Patient Navigators (AONN+) and CONQUER: the patient voice®.
For the 2 website redesigns, the Lynx Digital Team successfully relaunched the AONN+ and CONQUER sites between April and October 2017, added new digital features, organized the user interface for easier navigation, and enhanced the sites with contemporary, clean designs. The team was able to accomplish this while maintaining or improving e-mail and web metrics, building a conference app, implementing new SEO and social media tactics, and deploying an inaugural video marketing campaign.
Since the launch of the redesigned CONQUER website, the team has seen both sessions and pageviews double (when compared with averages from the previous year) and has increased the number of returning site visitors, e-mail open rates, and e-mail click rates. Furthermore, the continued efforts with SEO and content marketing have helped increase organic traffic by 85% in 2017, compared with 2016.
In addition, the Digital Team was instrumental in developing the AONN+ Superheroes project, for which they developed 8 metrics superhero characters to represent each of the newly created standardized navigation metrics domains. With complexity in each of the metrics domains, the Digital Team was able to help its audience of oncology navigators to better understand each domain in a fun and creative way so they could begin to implement them in their practices. Each superhero has “powers” that directly relate to the domain they represent. The Digital Team aimed to show that all navigators have the same powers within them, and that they are all heroes to their patients.
“I am excited our Digital Team has been recognized for their outstanding work. Each member of the team is a vital part of our organization,” says Brian Tyburski, The Lynx Group President and CEO.
The Digital Team, led by Samantha Weissman, Digital Marketing Director, includes Anthony Trevean, Digital Content Manager; Charles Easton IV, Digital Media Specialist; Christina Bethencourt, Digital Developer; and Walford Guillaume, Jr. Digital Content Manager.
“As someone who has been working with this very talented team of designers, programmers, and digital experts for a few years, it’s a pleasure seeing them get the attention they deserve,” says Weissman.
The Folio Awards Luncheon takes place April 5 at the Yale Club in New York City, where the winners will be announced.
