eimagine was nominated for Innovation of the Year due to the launch of a new mobile application in 2017. In partnership with Indiana State Department of Health, eimagine created the Liv Mobile Pregnancy Application to combat the ever-detrimental fact that Indiana saw a rise of 2.9% in the rate of infant mortality from 2015 to 2016. The top five causes of the increase in infant mortality were birth defects, preterm birth and low birth weight, maternal complication of pregnancy, sudden infant death syndrome, and injuries.
Matt Ray, Mobile Practice Lead at eimagine, shares, “In collaboration with the ISDH, we created a convenient way for parents or soon-to-be parents to stay on top of appointments and interact directly with nurses. The resource we created in Liv has been an exciting project that will greatly impact the health and future of Indiana parents and their children.”
Nominees were selected by 52 independent subject matter experts who evaluated and ranked the applications. In March, nominees will deliver presentations and answer questions in-person with one of the independent judging panels, and then the judges will select the winners following deliberation. Winners will be announced at the Mira Awards Gala on April 28th at the JW Marriot.
Counting only information submitted by the 55 different companies competing in the six categories, this year’s Mira Award nominees employ 55,465 people worldwide and 14,327 people here in Indiana. In 2017, these companies posted revenues of more than $6.8 billion.
“Our tech community has been undergoing remarkable growth in recent years with $7 Billion in acquisitions and IPO’s in the past decade, ranking Indianapolis and Central Indiana one of the top 10 fastest growing tech ecosystems in the country. Last year, LinkedIn and Zillow both ranked Indianapolis as number one in America’s Sweet Spots: Cities Where Job Opportunity and Housing Affordability Intersect,” said TechPoint President and CEO Mike Langellier.
