CALISTOGA, Calif. (PRWEB) February 21, 2018 -- The Sharpsteen Museum has been a part of the Northern Bay Area community for 40 years, and Clars Auction Gallery in Oakland has been the leading auction gallery in the Western United States for over 45 years. Together, these two Bay Area institutions are holding a special event on April 14, 2018 [time TBD].
Participants at this event will get to learn more about the unique, historical pieces at the Sharpsteen Museum and get verbal evaluations (auction estimates) for up to three family treasures or valuables — it's an antique roadshow style event right here in Calistoga! Examples of items to bring include fine jewelry, paintings, photos of large furniture, vases, and more. Items such as these might be worth something.

About Sharpsteen Museum:
The Sharpsteen Museum's permanent exhibits are designed to present the history of the upper Napa Valley, from its pre-history to post-World War I with an emphasis on people and changes brought by the period of U.S. emigration and development.
In addition to its many historical exhibits, the Museum uses unique and extraordinarily extensive dioramas to depict Calistoga during its period as the elegant 1860s Hot Springs resort developed by pioneer, promoter, publisher, entrepreneur, and California's first millionaire, Sam Brannan. Sharpsteen Museum has special exhibits which change twice a year, or every six months, and reflect the varied interests of the people of the Valley. They have ranged from antique silverware to model ships to historical musical instruments.
