As a result of establishing relationships with NAMI and other advocacy groups, we believe we can help save lives, help reduce stigma, support vital programs, and ultimately help find cures faster.
MIAMI (PRWEB) February 27, 2018
Bonnie Segal, Vice President and Co-Founder of Segal Trials, has been appointed as a NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Broward County Board Member. NAMI is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness.
Segal Trials has advocated for NAMI Broward County since 2015. Since then, Segal Trials has been dedicated to supporting NAMI’s mission and values through the provision of educational resources, partnerships within the community to help raise awareness, and assisting in their funding efforts. Edna Einhorn, president of NAMI Broward County, has collaborated with Segal Trials for the past several years and has stated “We are very glad you agreed to join our board. We know you will add lots of experience and insight to guide us.”
Bonnie is not only an advocate for clinical research and mental health but is also an entrepreneur with a robust background in business development, operations, recruitment, and leadership roles.
This accomplishment cannot be recognized without the mention of The STARR Coalition, whose mission it is to create meaningful change by increasing communication, partnerships and goodwill among stakeholders in the areas of treatment, advocacy, and clinical research with emphasis on consumers and patient’s mental health well-being.
Segal Trials hopes that this recognition will inspire other NAMI chapters to build relationships with other mental health stakeholders within their communities. “As a result of establishing relationships with NAMI and other advocacy groups, we believe we can help save lives, help reduce stigma, support vital programs, and ultimately help find cures faster,” said Bonnie Segal.
