The 2018 Women's Private Equity Summit Convenes March 7 – 9, 2018 at a Time of Global Uncertainty
LEXINGTON, Mass. (PRWEB) February 26, 2018 -- The 11th annual Women’s Private Equity Summit will be held March 7 – 9, 2018 at The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay, California. As this major industry conference for senior-level women in private equity and venture capital begins its second decade of dealmaking, the Summit’s influence continues to grow. Conference producer Falk Marques Group expects more than 550 attendees at the 2018 event.
Beth Falk, Summit founder and president of Falk Marques Group, says that the conference convenes at a time of upheaval, both in the United States and globally. “Politically, economically, and culturally, the last few years have proven to be a watershed era,” Falk observes. “From Brexit, Macron, and Trump to the #Me Too movement, record-breaking public markets, and oceans of capital in the private markets, the world is in flux. And all of these events have an impact on women leaders in private equity and venture capital. This year’s Summit will address all of these issues.”
Falk added that particular attention will be paid to the challenges women face breaking through to the highest levels of power in private equity and venture capital. “The women who attend the Summit are the change-makers who help women succeed,” says Falk. She notes that the Summit is the premier conference focused on promoting the success of women leaders — GPs, LPs and advisors to the industry. “Our mission is to be the place that helps change happen.”

In a highlight of the 2018 Summit, the seventh annual Private Equity Trailblazer Award will be awarded to Kate Mitchell, co-founder and partner at Scale Venture Partners. A groundbreaking industry leader and champion for women’s success, Mitchell’s keynote address is entitled “The Elephant in the Room: Women and Our Industry...So What are We Going to Do About It?”
