Wizer strengthens leadership team with Eli Katz joining as Head of AI

Tech industry veteran with almost 20 years of startup and leadership experience also serves as Board Member of Israel Friends of the Weizmann Institute of Science, a top global multidisciplinary basic research institution in the natural and exact sciences.

Wizer, a leading artificial intelligence-based SaaS consumer research company, today announced that Eli Katz has joined as Head of AI.

Bringing in his vast experience in the tech industry, Katz headed four startups, three of which he co-founded, that contributed significant technological breakthroughs in the fields of natural language processing (NLP), natural language understanding (NLU) and algorithmic trading. Katz also spearheaded the NLP and speech research at Verint and was Director of Algorithms at Viaccess-Orca, a part of France Telecom (Global Orange) Group.

Demonstrating his strong background in data science and machine learning, Katz has several patents under his name, among which are US WO2016009419 A1 (System and method for ranking news feeds) and US 08806455 B1 (Systems and Methods for Text Nuclearization). At age 13, he started his career in the military and did projects for numerous companies and organizations including the U.S. Department of Defense, Xerox, Disney, IBM, and more.
