Jacobus Consulting Earns Distinction of National Women Business Owner Certification
IRVINE, Calif. (PRWEB) March 01, 2018 -- Jacobus Consulting, a KLAS® top rated strategic advisory and management consulting firm servicing hospitals and healthcare providers, today announced its certification as a woman business enterprise (WBE) by National Women Business Owners Corporation (NWBOC).
In its nearly 20 years in business, Jacobus Consulting has withstood the test of time as one of the few healthcare consulting firms thriving in a healthcare marketplace where the only constant is change.
Having reached healthcare systems across the U.S. from integrated delivery networks to ambulatory clinics with their professional and advisory services, Jacobus Consulting now has the opportunity to support the clinical, financial, technological, and operational goals of an even wider range of organizations from corporations to government organizations.
“To be certified as a woman owned business is a proud moment in the history of Jacobus Consulting. It affords us the opportunity to bid for contracts at a national level, work with government organizations, and keep the promise of our mission alive: to advance the mission of healthcare by empowering clients to achieve what matters most® to those who need it,” says Sandra Jacobs, Founder and CEO of Jacobus Consulting.
After 22 years on the provider side, Sandra Jacobs had experienced and witnessed a host of disappointment and unkept promises. The consulting field was blemished with dishonesty, a lack of integrity, and a focus on profit, rather than true organizational and patient care transformation for disadvantaged populations. She decided to create a company that would wholeheartedly carry the mission of healthcare, provide permanent solutions with the patient at the core, and ensure the viability of the healthcare organization in service of its community. “Firms I either worked for or came in contact with left customers unarmed for the changes ahead and limited their services to focusing on surface issues, not root cause problems. That’s when I decided it was time to found a company built on integrity and the true mission of healthcare,” says Sandra Jacobs.
Jacobus Consulting delivers more than a superior customer experience to healthcare systems and providers; they ensure patients, families, and communities are given every opportunity to access the best possible care across the continuum.
NWBOC, a national 501(c)3 not-for-profit corporation, was created in response to needs identified by the Procurement Special Interest Group of the National Association of Women Business Owners. The study revealed that the public and private sector had not received nor recognized the benefits of contracting with women suppliers. This, in turn, prevented purchasers from obtaining the best value in their procurement and limited women business owners from penetrating these markets. NWBOC seeks to provide more corporations and government entities with the opportunity to improve their procurement practices and to enable parity by providing women suppliers the opportunity to compete.
“We are excited to be a part of a growing movement to create parity across healthcare and the professional services industry as well as to ensure diverse businesses and individuals are making a lasting difference in the lives of patients, their families, and providers,” said Sandra Jacobs.
