The new workspace fits our speed-to-market philosophy, creating opportunities for the quick conversations that drive new cross-selling opportunities.

Lucas Group, the leader in North American executive search, announced that its Houston office has moved to a new, Next-Gen workplace near Houston’s popular Galleria in the city’s Uptown District.

The new workspace is intentionally designed to meet the needs of Lucas Group’s executive recruiters, offering quiet space for focused work and inviting community space for team collaboration. The office’s connection to the Galleria offers seamless work-life integration, providing easy access to top dining, retail and lifestyle amenities.

“We intentionally designed this office to reflect the way our recruiters work,” said Bob Prather, General Manager for Accounting & Finance. “The new workspace fits our speed-to-market philosophy, creating opportunities for the quick conversations that drive new cross-selling opportunities. Teams can collaborate around the innovative brainstorming areas and then return to their focus space to execute the day’s priorities.”

In addition to a sought after location near the Galleria, the workplace is just steps from Hines Waterwall park, a multi-story sculptural fountain that provides quiet space for reflection during a busy workday. Teams can take a break from their desks with short, “walking meetings” through the park. Research shows that regular exercise during the day improves concentration, memory recall, and learning speed.

“Even a short, 10-minute outdoor break can have a lasting impact on productivity and creativity,” said David Armendariz, Managing Partner for Manufacturing, Houston. “Inside the workplace, we’ve chosen bright, warm colors and natural design elements that bring the outside in and keep recruiters focused and energized during the day.”

The workplace includes a kitchen and lounge area with wingback chairs, couches, coffee tables and a Ping-Pong table. These community spaces allow for casual connections throughout the workday, offering a variety of spaces for recruiters to meet with colleagues, grab a quick bite to eat, enjoy a fresh cup of coffee, and unwind. Recruiters are in control of where and how they work at any given moment.

At the heart of the new office are two large conference rooms that double as a “Learning Center” with space for all Houston employees. The Houston team has nicknamed this space their “Living Room”, and plan on hosting traditions like their annual Cinco de Mayo celebration and Thanksgiving feast here.

“It’s where we come together as a family,” said Steven Robinson, General Manager for IT. “We are a tight-knit group committed to building meaningful relationships both within our office walls and outside in the community. We’re proud to call Houston home.”

Lucas Group’s new Houston office is located at 2700 Post Oak Blvd, Suite 2300, Houston, TX 77056. It was also named to the Houston Chronicle’s “Top Workplaces” list for 2017.
