Codero Announces Addition of Microsoft Office 365 to Product Suite Along with CyberSecurity Center for Comprehensive IT Security Assessments
AUSTIN, Texas (PRWEB) February 27, 2018 -- Codero Holdings, Inc. (Codero), a leader in managed hosting services and technology enablement, today announced at the NTCA 2018 Rural Telecom Industry Meeting & Expo (RTIME) that it would begin offering Microsoft Office 365 for use and resale by RLECs and businesses worldwide. In addition, in response to today’s complex and ever-changing cyber threat landscape, Codero has launched the Codero CyberSecurity Center where RLECs and their customers can receive a free security assessment and find the latest cybersecurity alerts, resources, and news.
Codero will offer RLECs the ability to resell or distribute both Office 365 and the CyberSecurity Center white labeled under the RLEC’s brand.
Microsoft Office 365
Microsoft Office 365 is the most-used business application on the Internet, and 90 percent of its users are small businesses. Yet only 7.5 percent of small businesses are using Office 365, leaving a large, untapped opportunity for RLECs to resell Office 365 to rural small business customers.
“Often, rural small businesses are looking for a single point of contact for their technology, from their Internet service to their cloud-based applications,” Codero Chief Revenue Officer Ric Riddle said. “RLECs have a unique relationship with small businesses in their area and a unique opportunity to deliver on this need.”
As part of Codero’s new offering, the provider will handle licensing, implementation, migration, and administration for Office 365 on behalf of RLEC partners. This enhanced level of support will make it substantially easier for RLECs to roll out a full-service Office 365 offering to their customers.
Codero CyberSecurity Center
Today, almost ⅔ of cyber attacks are directed at small businesses, and the worst of these cost small businesses between $84,000 and $148,000.
“Cybersecurity isn’t just about installing a firewall,” Riddle said. “It’s about establishing secure systems and procedures and remaining aware of the latest threats and vulnerabilities. We’re helping RLECs deliver practical information and strategies to their small business customers to not only solidify their role as IT experts but also make their site a destination for vital cybersecurity information.”
The Codero CyberSecurity Center provides:
Comprehensive IT security assessment covering IT security policies; business continuity and disaster recovery planning; physical and environment security; compliance; and more
Sample planning documents, including security policies, disaster recovery plans, and others
Ongoing cybersecurity news and education
RLECs can white label the CyberSecurity Center under their own brand and provide it for their customers, for example as a free service or value-add within a cloud-based service bundle.
Products Provide New Revenue Streams for RLECs at the Right Time
As a company serving and owned by RLECs, Codero has recognized two key challenges facing rural service providers: recouping the costs of installing fiber optics and rising above competition from third-party service providers as well as major telcos and Internet service providers. Offering IT services and managed solutions gives RLECs a way to address both challenges by adding new revenue streams, broadening their audience, and deepening customer relationships.
“Our RLEC partners are already having great success reselling or building their own offerings upon our storage, cloud backup, disaster recovery as a service (DRaaS), and other IT offerings,” Codero Chief Revenue Officer Ric Riddle said. “Microsoft Office 365 and the CyberSecurity Center are both highly relevant solutions for rural small businesses, and we expect them to unlock new revenue potential for RLECs all over the country.”
RLECs who are attending RTIME can stop by Codero’s booth (#624) to complete a survey for the chance to win an Amazon Echo. Codero will also be providing free CyberSecurity assessments to select attendees to provide insight into the security of their infrastructure.
RLECs can begin offering their customers Office 365, the CyberSecurity Center, and Codero’s other managed services and hosting solutions by joining the Codero Partner Program.
