Jerry shares,“I had the chance to attend a Bishops’ School of Theology while living in Oklahoma. This was a two-year course. My experiences with the Brotherhood began in 1964 as the parish had a chapter where I lived. I learned of a home study course offered by the Brotherhood and completed it. This led to being an Associate Field Secretary. I was elected as Oklahoma Assembly President and helped get seven chapters started around the state.
I attended my first National Council meeting in 1970 in New Orleans. It was here that I discovered a personal relationship with our Lord. Witnessing the joyful singing and the love of Jesus displayed by others made me realize something was missing from my own relationship with Jesus. Kneeling by our bed in our hotel room, Jane (Jerry’s first wife) and I gave our lives to Christ.”

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Linda Balcom Fellers’s new book is an inspiring work that features Jerry Balcom’s memories as an active member of The Brotherhood of St. Andrew, a worldwide ministry to men and boys in the Episcopal Anglican Communion, including the ministries and the Holy Land tour he has participated in.

The words written in script are Fellers’s notations or memories. Jerry Balcom is her uncle, and even if they are a generation apart, she has written his journey to be read by all.
