Energy Management Collaborative Recognized for its Sustainability Accomplishments
PLYMOUTH, Minn. (PRWEB) February 27, 2018 -- Energy Management Collaborative (EMC) was recognized by Minnesota Business Magazine for its accomplishments implementing or supporting programs that promote sustainability, the environment or the local ecosystem at a gala held Thursday, February 22.
The Minnesota-based company maximizes the value of lighting and controls retrofit projects and services for multinational customers in a broad range of retail, commercial, industrial and government settings, helping them achieve their sustainability goals ahead of schedule.

Since 2016, 100% of EMC lighting services are focused on LED lighting. The company is now uncovering new sustainable, energy savings opportunities in the areas of lighting controls and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies.
It took EMC 12 years to help its customers achieve their first two billion kilowatt hours (kWh) of savings, a milestone celebrated in 2015. In terms of energy savings, it’s the equivalent of shutting down a power plant for two-thirds of a year.
Now, EMC’s processes have put energy savings into hyperdrive, surpassing 3.7 billion kWh in late 2017. The company has boldly set a goal to achieve 100 billion kWh of customer energy savings by 2025—the equivalent of shutting down 30 power plants for an entire year!
