HR Alliance DC Selects New President and President-Elect, Two New Board Members, from among Regional HR Leaders

Organization's Leadership Reaffirms Commitment to Serving DC-Area HR and Business Executives across Industries

HR Alliance DC, the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area’s leading professional organization for human capital executives, has elected Jason Salamon, Vice President of Human Resources at Edgewood and Vantage Management, President of the organization. Elizabeth Mashakas, Director of Talent Acquisition at Serco, Inc., succeeds Salamon as President-elect. Additionally, Patricia Hughes, Vice President of Talent Connections, and Julia Medvin, Client Relationship Director at Willis Towers Watson, have been appointed to the Board.

These leaders join eight other members of the Board of Directors of HR Alliance DC, together working to advance the human capital profession through educational and networking programs for the organization’s membership and prospective membership of D.C.-area Human Resources and Business executives across all industries.

“With this Board of Directors, we’re harnessing some of the best and the brightest human capital talent in the region,” said Salamon. “I’m humbled to have the opportunity to lead them and our organization in advancing our discipline, especially as the sphere of influence of HR expands to drive business priorities.”

Salamon served as President-elect of HR Alliance DC from 2016-2018.

Other members of the Board who are continuing their service include: Randy Yu, Chief People Officer at Misumi USA (and immediate Past President); Emily Bender, Vice President, Human Resources at Orbital ATK (and President Emeritus); Michelle Businger, Vice President Talent Resources of Vector Talent Resources; Kristin Cotter, Director, Human Resources at Streetsense; Nadia Kovacova, Business Development Executive and Health & Wellness Manager of The Insurance Exchange; Sharyn Nerenberg, Director, Employee Engagement & Internal Communications at BroadSoft; Signy Whitt, Principal Compensation Analyst at Intelsat; and Clay Worley, SVP and Chief Human Resources Officer at NCI Information Systems.
