Ulyngo and OOHLALA Collaborate to Increase Safety, Engagement, and Sustainability for Chapman University
SAN FRANCISCO (PRWEB) March 01, 2018 -- Ulyngo, Inc., the leading student commerce and marketplace solution, and OOHLALA Mobile, which works with more than 200 colleges and universities worldwide to improve student engagement and persistence, have come together to provide Chapman University students a safe and secure way to sell or buy items from other students on campus.
Students begin their e-commerce lives when entering college, but universities are not equipped to support all the ways students want to transact. Without a campus marketplace, student dollars are pushed off campus, they resort to unsafe and unreliable platforms, they create waste on campus when they cannot sell their things, and there is a missed opportunity for a university to be involved in a frequent student activity.
“Our mission has been to make our campus marketplace one of the standard offerings that a university offers its students and our collaboration with OOHLALA makes it easier for universities to deploy,” said Alex Jekowsky, CEO and Founder of Ulyngo. “Students need a safe, secure and simple way to buy from and sell to each other across all devices in an environment made just for them and the adoption we have seen on current deployments has been phenomenal.”
Ulyngo’s collaboration with OOHLALA on Chapman Universities CU Life Experience app now integrates Ulyngo’s robust marketplace, directly within their campus app.
“Mobile technology is leading the way when it comes to reaching students where they are. Our campus platform allows institutions to provide a safe and trusted environment for students to connect and communicate with one another,” said Danial Jameel, Co-Founder and CEO of OOHLALA. “Ulyngo provides additional features and functionality of a robust marketplace within the campus app, while maintaining the overall campus app experience.
Chapman University recently integrated their student marketplace within their campus mobile app powered by OOHLALA. David Sundby, Director of Residence Life and First Year Experience at Chapman University had this to say about Ulyngo and OOHLALA’s integration at Chapman. “We are always looking for ways to improve our student experience. Increased engagement with our student-centered app through an improved marketplace experience was an easy choice.”
