2018 marks the 70th anniversary of NASCAR highlighting "Seven Decades of NASCAR" throughout the entire season. NASCAR’s 70th birthday was December 14, 2017. The first meeting that led to the creation of NASCAR occurred at the Streamline Hotel in Daytona Beach, Florida, on December 14, 1947.
