RICHMOND, Va. (PRWEB) March 01, 2018
LifeWIRE Corp. is pleased to announce the appointment of Major General Elder Granger, M.D., US Army (retired) as its Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Granger brings a wealth of experience, insight, and guidance in the commercial and federal health sector.
LifeWIRE provides a patented, cloud-based communications platform enabling continuous, two-way dialogue, data collection, and insight between providers and their clients/patients in healthcare without the need for any specialized equipment or app download software. LifeWIRE’s platform enables population management through continuous outreach using each client’s best practices and by interacting with patients the way they want to communicate, whether through text, email, interactive voice, instant messaging, wearables, to name only a few.
Prior to his retirement from the U.S. Army in 2009, Dr. Granger served as deputy director and program executive officer of the TRICARE Management Activity. He was principal advisor to the assistant secretary of defense (Health Affairs) for the Department of Defense’s health plan policy and performance. He oversaw all aspects of the managed care program within the Military Health System.
While with TRICARE, he oversaw the acquisition, operation and integration of TRICARE/DOD’s managed care program within the Military Health System. Dr. Granger led a staff of 1,800 in planning, budgeting, and executing a $22.5 billion defense health program — one that provided accessible health care for 9.2 million uniformed service members, their families, and retirees worldwide. He also led the largest U.S. and multi-national battlefield health system in recent history while serving in Iraq. He earned the Bronze Star Medal and the Defense Superior Service Medal, among other awards.
LifeWIRE has earned national and international recognition among governments, healthcare, and behavioral health organizations for its work with a wide range of populations. Nowhere has its impact been more clearly demonstrated than in the care of US active duty service members and veterans suffering with mental health challenges such as post-traumatic stress, high risk of suicide, and substance abuse.
“As we continue to expand our presence in military and veteran health, Dr. Granger’s guidance and counsel will be invaluable. It is an honor to have such a distinguished military and civilian leader join our organization as Chief Medical Officer,” said Howard Rosen, LifeWIRE’s CEO.
“Innovative risk takers like LifeWIRE will drive the changes that are needed in healthcare, while benefiting patients, helping patient caregivers, supporting healthcare providers, and improving overall performance,” said Dr. Granger. “ Joining the LifeWIRE team, at this time, is a continuation of my personal commitment to integrate powerful technology with clinical best practices, and to deliver lifesaving solutions when, where and how they are needed.”
Dr. Granger is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the Board of Hematology and Oncology. Dr. Granger holds a Bachelor of Science from Arkansas State University. He was commissioned through the Reserve Officer Training Corps and graduated from the University Of Arkansas School Of Medicine. Upon graduation, he was awarded the Henry Kaiser Medical Fellowship. He holds an honorary Doctor of Science from Meharry Medical College.

About LifeWIRE (http://www.lifewiregroup.com)
LifeWIRE operates throughout North America with offices in Richmond, Virginia and Toronto, Canada. Providing a secure and interactive communication engine and population management tool though the LifeWIRE platform, organizations are able to communicate with individuals under their care anywhere, at any time, through any device. For the individual, it means they can engage when they want, how they want, about what and with whom they want at any time. As valuable as the two–way response is to the organization and the individual, it is the ‘non-response as a response’ that is also monitored and equally valuable. All LifeWIRE interactions are recorded and validated to FDA audit standards, tracked on a date/time basis, and managed by our clients. Captured data is used for advanced analytics that include customer engagement levels, customer behavior, service and operational levels, performance measurement, and predictive modelling.
