Southern California’s Signature Event Celebrates Esteemed Science and Tech Leaders.

Athena, a professional association dedicated to empowering progress together by advancing women in STEM, is accepting Pinnacle Awards nominations and event sponsors for Athena’s Annual Pinnacle Awards Gala on May 3, 2018 at the Hyatt La Jolla. The Pinnacle Awards is proud to showcase the region’s leading corporations and institutions demonstrating their support of women in STEM including:

Qualcomm, Sony, Intuit, Innovative Commercial Environments, Sales Benchmark Index, Marsh & McLennan Agency, EY, IRRAS, and Academy of Our Lady of Peace.

Every year, over 600 leaders working in the science, technology, engineering and math disciplines gather to honor those excelling in the recognition, promotion, and mentorship of women working in STEM. Athena’s Pinnacle Awards Gala is a staple of southern California's technology and life science industry events and showcases the best in class for those dedicated to empowering women. Pinnacle Scholarships are also awarded to five remarkable graduating high school seniors to further the pipeline of the next set of aspiring STEM leaders.

Athena’s Pinnacle Awards nominations are designed to celebrate women, men as well as corporations or organizations in recognition for:

  •     Providing an exemplary model for women through their own career path or company culture
  •     Hiring, empowering, inspiring, mentoring, leading by example and/or elevating women in the workplace
  •     Demonstrating distinguished leadership through participation in the community, through professional organizations, forums, informal or formal mentoring and/or educational programs focused on women in STEM.
