Renowned Leaders in Physical and Occupational Therapy Provide Free Education to Future Rehabilitation Professionals
GARDEN CITY, N.Y. and MORRISTOWN, N.J. (PRWEB) March 02, 2018 -- Professional Seminars, a leading continuing education provider for Allied Health Professionals, will be hosting its 6th annual Student Symposium on March 10th and March 24th. For the first time ever, the symposium will be held on two different dates and locations in the Tri-State area. The first course, on March 10th, will be held at 645 Stewart Avenue in Garden City, on Long Island, in New York, and the second one, on March 24th, will be held at 21 Headquarters Plaza in Morristown, New Jersey.
Each year, this free admission symposium fills to capacity, bringing local and out-of-town students together to be educated on current clinical concepts and hands-on, manual treatment techniques they can utilize during their clinical affiliations, as well as in a post-graduate professional setting. The program is specifically provided for students in the field of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Athletic Training, and all are encouraged to attend. Sessions will focus on functional progressions for the lower extremity, upper extremity and core, as well as an introduction to hand therapy, and other relevant clinical topics.
In addition to these education opportunities, the symposium will allow students to interact and network with industry experts and leaders, such as Rob Panariello, a founder of Professional Seminars, and Student Symposium instructor. Rob has more than 35 years of experience in Sports Physical Therapy, Athletic Training and the Performance Enhancement Training of athletes; he lectures nationally and internationally, and has been published in more than 60 peer-reviewed industry publications.
“We launched the Student Symposium five years ago, as part of our Professional Seminars program, with the goal of providing physical therapy and allied health students with a current state-of-the-art knowledge base they can depend on,” said Rob Panariello, Founding Partner and Chief Clinical Officer of Professional Physical Therapy, and Professional Seminars faculty. “It’s our way of giving back to the healthcare community, as our passion and commitment to professional development and clinical excellence extends from our clinicians to our students, who are the future of the profession.”
“I really enjoyed the Student Symposium. It was an amazing experience, and it’s great that Professional Seminars can offer it to students free of charge,” said Nicole Olofson, 2017 Student Symposium Attendee. “It was a unique opportunity for me to learn from top experts in the field, and I gained a different perspective from learning in the classroom. It was well worth my time and I highly recommend it.”
The annual Student Symposium was created by Professional Physical Therapy’s Clinical Affiliation Program in conjunction with Professional Seminars Ltd., an accredited CEU provider, which is recognized by the Board of Certification (BOC) and the NY State Education Department.
