LabRoots Kicks Off 2018 Scholarship Program for Young Scientists Seeking a Degree in STEM
YORBA LINDA, Calif. (PRWEB) February 28, 2018 -- LabRoots, the leading provider of educational and interactive virtual events for tech innovators, engineers, and scientists from around the world, is once again hosting the STEM Scholarship program to support young scientists seeking a degree in any of the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields.
This is a merit-based scholarship open to high school seniors and students currently enrolled in graduate or undergraduate programs. Applicants must be interested in pursuing a degree in any of the STEM fields. It will fund one student for one year, awarding $3,000 to assist with costs associated with their academic pursuits, including tuition, research projects, travel, training, and other costs.
Interested students can apply beginning tomorrow, March 1, through April 30, 2018. The LabRoots scholarship committee will review all applicants, notifying the winner no later than June 1 via email. To apply, students need only submit their resume, CV, or transcript, accompanied by a 250-word essay.
In 2017, the first year of the scholarship program, LabRoots received more than 3,000 applicants. This scholarship program aims to encourage and develop students’ interest in STEM, and prolong research goals.
