Tempe-based IT consulting organization hosts "If You Build It, They Will Deploy," a Day of DevOps Education for Phoenix Technology Professionals

It can be a daunting task to implement DevOps without clear direction. We hope to take some of the mystery out of the DevOps execution process by hosting this event.

Isos Technology, an Atlassian Platinum and Enterprise Solution Partner, today announced that it will host an educational event on DevOps, with speakers from such organizations as Netflix, Petco, and QualiMente. The event will take place at the Phoenix Marriott Tempe at The Buttes on March 16, 2018.

This event, called “If You Build It, They Will Deploy...Join Us for a Day of DevOps & Baseball,” will feature an opening presentation by Thad West, CEO of Isos Technology, and Danny Riley, Vice President of Business Development for Isos Technology. This presentation will outline key strategies for merging software development and operations teams to form a DevOps culture in the workplace. West and Riley will additionally discuss DevOps best practices, trackable metrics to ensure DevOps success, and software tools, like the Atlassian toolset, that optimize DevOps in organizations of all shapes and sizes.

This in-depth discussion will be followed by presentations on DevOps from representatives of several notable organizations, including:

Mark Maleitzke, Head of DevOps for Petco, will discuss the DevOps transformation at his organization, and will discuss best practices for management team and organizations to adapt to a new DevOps culture.

Ed Bukosksi, Senior Software Engineer, Developer Productivity, will talk about Netflix's migration of all of its source code to Git for version control, and how this important change furthered the independence of engineering teams, enabling them to build, test and deploy with ease.

Stephen Kuenzli, Founder of Qualimente, will conduct a presentation that covers how to deliver modern infrastructure, particularly as it relates to the Cloud. He'll discuss the key elements of team design, infrastructure delivery process, and methods to ensure high quality infrastructure.

After the informational portion of the event, attendees will convene at Tempe Diablo Stadium for a Spring Training baseball game between the Los Angeles Angels and the Colorado Rockies. Registration for this event is free, and Isos Technology will provide food, beverages, and tickets to the baseball game. To register, please visit our event page. Space is limited.
