Cohesive Solutions Inc. announces a strategic development between IBM Maximo and Propel called the Propel iFrame Portlet for Maximo. This integration is available for anyone who already utilizes or is implementing IBM Maximo Enterprise Asset Management. Propel is a Performance Management solution from Cohesive that enables Maximo customers to leverage and improve their Maximo implementation to optimize asset management. Propel customers can quickly deploy Asset Management metrics and KPIs that are aligned with their business objectives. In addition to executives and management visualizing performance, Maximo users can now view Propel dashboards and visual content directly in Maximo via a custom embedded iFrame configuration, enabled by Interloc.

This powerful visualization capability allows Maximo users, such as maintenance supervisors, storeroom managers, procurement leads, etc., to better correlate day to day activities with organizational objectives, by visualizing their impact on results, directly within the Maximo start center. For example, at the start of a shift when an employee logs on, in addition to current workflow assignments and a list of the day’s assigned work, they are also presented with current performance metrics such as overall backlog and work throughput metrics for the employee’s department. This “line of sight” from organizational goals to daily activities enables an organization to bridge the “strategy to execution gap” and achieve desired business results.

“For asset-intensive organizations, achieving operational objectives doesn’t happen by accident. Objectives must be communicated to their respective organizations and measures must be applied to help them measure their success,” said George Lowry, President and Co-founder of Cohesive Solutions. “Allowing Maximo users to have a clear view of those objectives and current performance within their day-to-day start centers removes a significant hurdle to achieving excellence.”

Propel Background

Several years ago, the leadership team of Cohesive Solutions noticed clients struggling to identify and assess operational risk, measure performance and manage overall continuous improvement initiatives. With this struggle as their influence they determined a solution should be developed to resolve these issues and more. Anthony Honaker joined the Cohesive team to develop and determine the strategy for Propel.

Propel is a modern business solution that provides robust capabilities for organizations wanting to:

  • Identify and assess operational risks
  • Measure performance and compliance
  • Manage continuous improvement initiatives to achieve targets
  • Automate operational performance monitoring
  • Establish communications and collaboration

Propel turns any Asset Management system data into visual and actionable information so that organizations can optimize their asset management programs to improve asset health and reliability. This latest development of the Propel iFrame Portlet for Maximo further addresses the demand we see for reaching operational excellence for asset intensive organizations.
