We have a proven model for building successful community hospitals and are excited to serve the healthcare needs we see in Dallas.

Pipeline Healthcare Management LLC, a successful community-based hospital management company, announced today that they have acquired Baylor Scott & White Medical Center—White Rock to bring a better healthcare experience to East Dallas. The hospital will be renamed City Hospital at White Rock. This is the company’s first acquisition in Dallas.

“Our goal is to be the premier healthcare provider in East Dallas by focusing on the needs of the community and providing more personalized, yet affordable care to our patients. We’re confident that City Hospital at White Rock will become a trusted community partner in helping live a healthy and fulfilling life,” says Jorge Trevino, CEO of City Hospital at White Rock and former COO of the facility.

The 218-bed hospital will expand its medical staff to better serve the local community, with a focus on primary care and other underserved specialties. The plan is to create and grow a clinically integrated network of providers in areas of community care that best serve East Dallas, such as bariatrics, cardiology, orthopedics and obstetrics and gynecology.

“We have a proven model for building successful community hospitals and are excited to serve the healthcare needs we see in Dallas. We know there is a market outside of the ‘Big Box’ approach to healthcare. We have a diverse management team of healthcare experts with backgrounds in clinical medicine, administration, finance, and hospital operations who work together to provide quality, personalized care that is reflective of the communities we serve,” says Jim Edwards, CEO, Pipeline Healthcare Management, LLC.

City Hospital at White Rock’s community-first philosophy extends beyond its walls. The hospital is committed to being actively involved in the East Dallas community and will partner with likeminded organizations that support healthy living and the conservation efforts at White Rock Lake. The hospital also hopes to bring local physicians together through networking and thought-leadership events.
