"We value our clients and are committed to providing the best customer service for each client on every visit.”

While you may not have it on your calendar, the first week of March is National Write a Letter of Appreciation Week. On this week, and throughout the year, MaintenX is grateful to their customers that trust them to provide complete preventive and reactive maintenance services. This March, all MaintenX customers will receive a note expressing the gratitude MaintenX feels.

“I am so thankful to our loyal customers,” said Bill Schaphorst, MaintenX’s VP of Business Development. “We know there are numerous choices for maintenance providers. We believe our customer loyalty is due, in part, to how much we value our clients and are committed to providing the best customer service for each client on every visit.”

As it turns out, being thankful for customers, employees, and business relationships can have benefits in and out of the office building. MaintenX offers facility managers some reasons why it’s important to practice gratitude all year long:

Gratitude can improve your health: Researchers have found that grateful people are less likely to have aches and pains than those who don't practice gratitude. They similarly report feeling healthier. Grateful people also experience mental health benefits like increased happiness and reduced aggressive thoughts.

Gratitude can improve your career: Gratitude can increase your productivity and grow your social capital (the value of your social relationships). Expressing gratitude can help you acquire and retain a mentor or protege, as well as increase your self-esteem. All of these benefits can aid your career, whether it’s connecting you with the right people or putting your best skills forward.

Gratitude can help you be more present: Being grateful is much more than saying ‘thank you.’ Profound gratitude takes creativity and reflection, and is a skill you can improve with practice. All of these things require you to pay attention and be present in the moment.

Gratitude can improve your workplace. Research has shown that expressing gratitude aids in employees' productivity levels. Regularly expressing gratitude also increases positive feelings. People feel more comfortable with expressing concerns if they've recently experienced gratitude. This can support teams as they work to become more effective.
