The Plant Based Foods Association (PBFA), the nation's only trade group representing the fast-growing plant-based foods sector, today announced Blue Diamond Growers as their hundredth member, joining an expanding group of food companies, investors, and allied businesses dedicated to providing consumers delicious plant-based foods.

Blue Diamond is a California non-profit, grower-owned cooperative of more than 3,000 family almond growers that was formed over 100 years ago. As the world's leading almond marketer and processor, Blue Diamond offers consumers a diverse line of plant-based foods including Blue Diamond almonds, Nut-Thins crackers, almond flour, and the number one almondmilk in the U.S., Almond Breeze.

"We are excited to join the Plant Based Foods Association as their hundredth member," said Suzanne Hagener, director of brand marketing, non-dairy products for Blue Diamond. "Blue Diamond has enjoyed phenomenal growth in recent years, as consumers incorporate more plant-based foods to their diets, and we look forward to supporting our common goals," she added.

Launched in March 2016, the Plant Based Foods Association advocates for a fair and competitive marketplace for the plant-based foods industry. In less than two years, PBFA has grown from 22 to 100 member companies.

"We are thrilled to add Blue Diamond to our growing roster of companies dedicated to furthering the growth of plant-based foods," said Michele Simon, PBFA's executive director. "The plant-based food sector will continue to grow rapidly, and I look forward to a successful partnership with Blue Diamond," she added.
