Physicians Taking the Lead to Improve Healthcare System Tops Agenda For National Physicians' Week Virtual Conference
PHENIX CITY, AL and VANCOUVER, BC (PRWEB) March 07, 2018 -- The groundswell of North American physicians committed to improving healthcare will be spotlighted when Physicians Working Together and Zenxmed host the first physician-led virtual conference in celebration of this year’s National Physicians’ Week (March 25 – 31, 2018). Topics amongst the physician community that will be covered include best practices around navigating the challenging healthcare system, improving patient care and empowering physicians as self and community advocates.
The conference aims to educate and empower physicians, providing resources to help operate within the quickly-changing U.S. healthcare system, and ultimately improve patient care while fostering positive, collaborative change. The conference will serve as an opportunity for physicians to connect with peers and subject matter experts, and discuss key issues faced by the healthcare community.
“Physicians Working Together provides a forum for doctors to work collaboratively in light of new and challenging obstacles present in the rapidly changing U.S. healthcare field,” says PWT Founder Dr. Kimberly Jackson. “In partnering with Zenxmed for National Physicians’ Week, we hope to shine a light on issues present in the sector, as well as to spark conversations amongst doctors that feel they do not have a place to be heard.”
This conference is being offered to North American-based physicians and residents, free of charge. Participants can register online at http://physiciansworkingtogether.org/national-physicians-week-virtual-conference/.
“Medicine is a vast sector, slow-to-adapt and adopt new technologies that are critical to sustaining practices of all sizes across the country,” says Dr. Colm Murphy, Founder of Zenxmed. “In our collaboration with Physicians Working Together, National Physicians Week will reinforce the strengthening of digital ties within the medical community, in line with Zenxmed’s objective of building a community-driven platform to empower physicians to deliver the absolute best care for patients.”
Speakers include: Dr. Brian Dixon (Physician Diversification: The Art of the Side Hustle); U.S. Representative Dr. Roger Marshall (Congressional Update); Dr. Otashe Golden (Golden Keys to Palliative Medicine)); Dr. Matthew Hahn (Fulfilling Our Oath in a Broken Health Care System); Dr. Sasha Shillcutt (Resilience: Falling Down and Launching Forward); Dr. Tisha Rowe (Know Your Role Physicians as Employees, Entrepreneurs or Investors?); Dr. Mark Fallen (Peer Review: How One Doctor Survived and Prevailed); Dr. Christin Giordano McAuliffe (Running a Code: Leading Effectively in the Room and Beyond).
