Plant Therapy Strengthens Leadership Team with Two Senior Hires to Drive Growth through Customer-Focused Innovation
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (PRWEB) March 08, 2018 -- Plant Therapy announced that Matthew Bryant, former CEO of Northwest Cosmetic Laboratories, joined Plant Therapy in the capacity of General Manager, working directly with Chris Jones, President of Plant Therapy, and will lead the senior leadership team. Also joining the team as Vice President of Product Development is David Weymouth, who will be responsible for driving the development of innovative products.
“My vision for the company is to be known worldwide as the most customer focused essential oil company,” says Chris Jones, President of Plant Therapy. “Bringing together a strong executive team with a proven history of innovation and focus on the customer is another step towards achieving that goal.”
For the past ten years, Matthew Bryant has been with Northwest Cosmetic Laboratories, a leading prestige beauty and professional skin care formulator and contract manufacturer in Idaho Falls, Idaho. As its Chief Executive Officer, he led the company through a period of significant growth from 2009 to 2017. Prior to the role of CEO, Mr. Bryant was its Chief Financial Officer.
“I joined Plant Therapy because of the vision Chris has for the company. During the conversations Chris and I had, it quickly became clear to me that Plant Therapy's philosophy toward customers, suppliers, and employees and their families were very well aligned with mine,” says Bryant. “My focus will be to continue to emphasize our strengths, including integrity, authenticity, education, giving back and having a humility and hunger to learn and improve."
David Weymouth, most recently Executive Vice President of Product Development at Perfectly Posh in Salt Lake City, UT, developed and launched over 360 unique skin care products, many of which utilized essential oils. Mr. Weymouth’s history with essential oils goes back to 2009 when he worked for Scentsy as their Director of Fragrance. While in that role, he gained extensive fragrance experience working with some of the largest fragrance houses in the world. He also developed and launched Scentsy´s first skin care products.
“While there a number of things that appealed to me about joining Plant Therapy, the main draw for me was the vision that Chris Jones and Paul Stanger shared about where they are hoping to take the company, not just from a product perspective, but also from a corporate perspective,” says Weymouth. “Product Development as an organization, has a unique opportunity to contribute to a positive corporate culture because we are highly cross functional and work with every other department in the company. Great planning, combined with timely communication and transparency promotes a happy and healthy culture.”
Both Weymouth and Bryant also share that they love how Plant Therapy is genuinely committed to giving back and supporting charitable causes not only within their own community but across borders as well. Says Weymouth, “It was so important to join an organization whose mission aligns with my own values. I can't wait to contribute directly to Plant Therapy's growth through innovative products that help improve the lives of customers and employees and enables the company to contribute to worthy causes.”
