New South Florida-based private residential real estate development firm Akel Homes announced its official launch today. The company will specialize in the development of energy-efficient and design-oriented single-family residences, townhomes and multifamily apartments, as well as boutique and high-rise condominiums.

President of Akel Homes and second-generation real estate developer Alexander Akel brings nearly a decade of industry experience to the company. In his leading role, Alexander will spearhead the company’s strategy, oversee land acquisitions and entitlements, product design, construction operations and sales. Akel Homes’ Founder, Ramsey Akel, has overseen the acquisition, development, construction and sales of over 4,000 residences across South Florida since 1987. Together, the two hold more than 40 years of combined real estate development experience and a proven track record of success.

“At Akel Homes, our vision is to bring people together,” said Alexander Akel. “We accomplish this by equipping our state-of-the art residences and communities with desirable lifestyle features and amenities, energy-efficient technologies and forward-thinking architectural design.”

Akel Homes’ newest South Florida community, Villamar at Toscana Isles, is slated to break ground later this year in central Palm Beach County. This community of single-family homes will feature 208 home sites around four glistening lakes. With one- and two-story Contemporary Spanish and Transitional design elevations, homes range in size from 1,800 to 3,000 square feet. The community will boast a wide array of amenities, including a towering guardhouse with a sophisticated gated entry system, modern clubhouse with a resort-style pool, cutting-edge fitness center, tennis and multipurpose courts, and a tot lot.

With momentum in full swing, Akel Homes has also acquired a 12-acre site located on the southeast corner of Hypoluxo Road and Lyons Road in Palm Beach County. Although fully approved for a 350-student charter school and 250-student daycare facility, the firm is evaluating a potential repositioning to a congregate living facility to better suit the needs of the community.

“Over the past 30 years, we’ve earned a strong track record by building thousands of high-quality single-family and multifamily residences – ultimately, developing some of South Florida’s most recognized premier communities,” added Akel. “Akel Homes looks forward to continuing this legacy with the development of distinguished lifestyle communities throughout the entire state of Florida.”
