Root Inc., a change consulting company, today announced it will have a presence at the South by Southwest (SXSW) Trade Show at the Austin Convention Center from Sunday, March 11 through Wednesday, March 14. Root will demonstrate its ability to change the way organizations manage patient experience and other significant healthcare strategies. Root will be in Booth 1833 near the Discovery Stage in the Heath + Wellness area of the show.

Root works with some of the largest and most respected healthcare organizations, helping them make positive strategic or cultural changes to improve patient experience, safety and quality as well as change initiatives.

At SXSW, Root is highlighting its expertise in helping healthcare leaders disrupt the way they launch change initiatives in their organization. At the booth, Root will share real-world results and case studies, offering interactive sessions to help attendees identify their biggest challenges in real time, and providing access to the propriety Root Canyon visual designed to help organizations hone in on the biggest gaps and pain points across the organization.

“Succeeding in the healthcare world can be a complex process of balancing patient needs with behind-the-scenes organizational processes, including the engagement of doctors, nurses, and staff across any number of departments. Most organizations are diligently focused on delivering the best medical technologies and practices, but for the most part are failing to deliver exceptional patient experiences. It’s not always easy and it’s always complicated,” said Dave Willis, managing director and healthcare practice lead at Root Inc. “That’s where Root comes in. We’re excited to share our approaches to change across healthcare organizations and hope to bring new ideas and strategic thinking to SXSW attendees—helping those healthcare organizations evolve to their fullest potential.”

Using a proven process, combined with disruptive methods that incorporate visuals, two-way dialogue, and compelling data, Root has engaged with two out of every three Fortune 50 companies and leading health systems, including Kaiser Permanente, Trinity Health, and Providence Health and Services.

The Root Change Process focuses on:

1) Defining the Future – Helping leaders get clear and aligned on where they want to go, what’s holding them back, and the changes needed to get them there.
2) Building an Organizational Movement – Developing an approach that enables every person in the organization to understand “why change,” “what’s changing,” and “how I need to change.”
3) Creating Lasting Change – Ensuring there is ongoing focus on the change and that everyone has the knowledge and capabilities to sustain that change.
