American Traveler Donates to a Cause Selected by Healthcare Professionals
(PRWEB) March 09, 2018 -- After several decades providing travel nursing jobs throughout the U.S., American Traveler is well aware that many healthcare professionals enter the field because they want to help others. That help comes in many forms: healing, emotional support, alleviating pain, encouraging wellness -- along with supporting patients’ families and communities.
Most staff nurses, technicians and therapists have an opportunity to put down roots in a community and contribute to charitable organizations over a long period of time. However, that type of long-term charity work can be more of a challenge for healthcare travelers. Travelers fill short term staffing needs in healthcare facilities around the U.S. Even though travelers move from city to city, many of these dedicated professionals become attached to their “temporary” communities and discover causes that they want to support. They may also wish to support organizations that address issues on a national scale.
To that end, American Traveler is asking healthcare professionals (nurses, techs, therapists and others) to briefly explain why they are passionate about their careers -- along with designating a charity or fundraiser that they care about. When an entry is selected, American Traveler will make a $500 donation to the healthcare professional’s charity of choice.
The deadline for submitting entries is March 25, 2018; an entry will be selected by March 31, 2018. Details of entry are available on the company website, and on social media accounts, such as Facebook and Instagram .
One of American Traveler’s most important goals is to support local and national charities. Among other worthy causes, American Traveler supports Feeding America, the American Cancer Society, the American Red Cross, and the Spirit of Giving.
