Encompass Healthcare Data Solutions (EHDS) Just Launched a New Free Product to Help Practices Better Understand Their MIPS Risk
FORT COLLINS, Colo. (PRWEB) March 08, 2018 -- With the evolution of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services' (CMS) value based reimbursement program, provider confusion and frustration has only increased. This is understandable considering that the program has now transitioned from the Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS) to the Merit Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS). Under MIPS, providers are subject to scoring in four separate areas: Quality; Improvement Activities; Advancing Care Information; and Cost.
In order to assist practices in better understanding the effect that these changes may have on their operational and financial health, Encompass has constructed and debuted a MIPS Risk Assessment Calculator. Providers can enter some basic information about their practice and receive an estimate of their financial risk plus some operational highlights describing what may be driving that risk.
