Hand & Stone Massage & Facial Spas Announced as Title Sponsor of New Women’s Philadelphia Triathlon
TREVOSE, Pa. The Inaugural Hand and Stone Women’s Philadelphia Triathlon is unlike any other triathlon on the East Coast. The event is scheduled for July 8 and is an all-women’s sprint triathlon that will feature a 400-meter swim in the Kelly Outdoor Pool, 9-mile bike ride on closed roads, and a scenic 5K run through Fairmount Park.

Registration for the event opened on January 17 and is already close to capacity.
The decision to be title sponsor of the Women’s PHL-TRI is particularly timely for Hand & Stone which is currently piloting a new Restorative Stretch service.
“A proven benefit of massage is how it helps the body recover from activity. Many triathletes include massage in their training and recovery process and it is great to align the Hand & Stone brand with this event,” noted Nathan Nordstrom. The result is improved flexibility and relief from nagging aches and pains. The company plans to roll out the new service nationwide in time for the July event.

The Philadelphia area Hand & Stone Spas are teaming up with the Company and its 55 area Hand & Stone spas on the sponsorship and are forming a team to participate in the race. “It’s great that our area franchisees and staff have embraced this. As a regular on the triathlon circuit, I can speak to what a feeling of accomplishment there is after competing and I am glad we’ll give others the chance to set and achieve new health and wellness goals,” said Leff.
