When the Global Pet Expo opens in Orlando March 21, quite literally the coolest exhibit will be the one on "ice," by Safe Paw® Ice Melt and Traction Magic.

Known for its proprietary ice melt that is 100% salt-free and therefore 100% safe for pets, children and the environment, Safe Paw® Ice Melt and its sister company Traction Magic will set up a mini ice rink and expo-goers can step up and take the Ice Walk Challenge.
"We wanted to show how quickly Traction Magic can make a hazardous surface safe, so we thought we'd have a little fun with a demo," said Steven Vernik, Vice President and Director of Operations for Safe Paw® Ice Melt. "We will use dry ice to freeze water and create a sheet of super slippery ice. Once we apply a bit of Traction Magic, the slick surface rapidly becomes one of the safest surfaces you can step onto."

"Instead of a 'hands on' demo, our Ice Walk Challenge offers the Global Pet Expo what's probably the first ever 'feet on' demo," he quipped. "We'll even have some hot coffee on hand, in the event someone gets a case of the 'cold feet'."

Vernik and his team will also treat expo-goers to a series of experiments and a comparison demo that will clearly show some of the dangers of traditional ice melters as compared with the properties of Safe Paw® Ice Melt and Traction Magic.

Similar to Safe Paw® Ice Melt, Traction Magic is 100% safe for pets, children and the environment. It's even safe if accidentally ingested, Vernik said.

"Like people, pets can slip and fall on ice and sustain injuries such as muscle pulls, tears, broken bones, and even recurring psychological fear," said Charlotte Reed, pet and lifestyle expert. "These dangers are in addition to the damage other ice melts cause to delicate pads and paws. With Safe Paw® Ice Melt pet parents can be confident they are offering the safest possible winter environment for their furry family member."

Expo-goers can find Safe Paw® Ice Melt and Traction Magic at the Global Pet Expo's booth #6144 and experience the Ice Melt Challenge and the comparison demos.
