FAIRFAX, Va. (PRWEB) March 12, 2018 -- As a champion of diversity in the cybersecurity field, Ms. Mischel Kwon, CEO of MKACyber, will be speaking at the Women of Silicon Valley 2018 conference, an opportunity for professional women in technology to connect, learn and take action on gender diversity and inclusion.
Ms. Kwon, who is the founder of the Cybersecurity Diversity Foundation, is presenting “Security Isn’t Sexy—It’s Business.” This a session designed to remove the fantasy that cybersecurity is made up of hooded hackers assaulting the world with keyboards from dim, computer-lit rooms. Instead, it shines a light on the fact that the daily tactics of hacking are much more mundane and opens attendees’ eyes to the reality that cybersecurity is about business. Ms. Kwon will discuss why educating security leaders and security professionals about how the business operates is critical to improving an organization’s security posture. She will also detail how a proactive, business-minded security strategy improves an organization’s chances for long-term success.
