Deborah Newton Announces Release of ‘The House That Nick Built’
HOUSTON (PRWEB) March 13, 2018 -- Deborah Newton wanted to present a new view of Christmas for children. This objective prompted her to write “The House That Nick Built” (published by AuthorHouse), a cumulative tale with a rhythmic pattern similar to a book titled "The House That Jack Built" by Mother Goose, a classic from many years ago.
The book tells the story of Christmas activity at the North Pole and beyond so vividly that children feel a part of the action. The rhythm and the repetition makes the book a great way to teach word recognition and a fun read for young and old alike.

About the Author
Deborah Newton grew up north of Houston, in the Spring-Woodlands area. She graduated from Texas A & M University, receiving a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies, with reading specialist emphasis, and a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She taught second grade, where she worked tirelessly to instill in children a love for reading and helped young children who were having difficulty mastering reading skills. She also worked in a Big Six firm as an auditor for several years.
Newton began writing poetry while in high school and has several published poems. She has also written four other children’s books, which she is completing for publication.
Newton has loved children's books all of her life, and has an extensive collection of them, which she enjoys sharing with her sons. She also enjoys working out, cooking, scrapbooking and sharing in the activities of her two sons. She and her family currently reside in The Woodlands, Texas.
