International Consortium of Minority Cybersecurity Professionals (ICMCP) Announces the “Marci McCarthy Cybersecurity Certification Scholarship Program”
North Haledon, NJ (PRWEB) March 13, 2018 -- Today, T.E.N., a technology and information security executive networking and relationship-marketing firm and ISE® Talent, an information security recruiting firm specializing in executive-level searches as well as high-demand industry skill-sets and specialization announced that they will be offering two undergraduates scholarships for the International Consortium of Minority Cybersecurity Professionals (ICMCP). The Marci McCarthy Cybersecurity Certification Scholarship Program provides $5,000 over a two-year period to help talented women and minority students advance in cybersecurity and obtain professional certifications via CompTIA.
The Marci McCarthy Cybersecurity Certification Scholarship Program recognizes the highest achieving Female, Veteran, African American, Hispanic American, Native American, Asian Pacific, Asian Indian or sub-Saharan African and ICMCP members who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership skills, and a commitment to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) careers to include cybersecurity, digital forensics, and information assurance. This marks the third year that the scholarship will be awarded.

Further enhancing Rep. Henry C. “Hank” Johnson, Jr.’s (D-GA 4th Congressional District) congressional citation where he designated March 13, 2012 as “Marci McCarthy Day,” this scholarship was created to honor Marci’s overall work in fostering greater professionalism in the IT security industry as well as recognize her efforts of the advancement of cyberspace protection in the private and public sectors.
