Both of Crucial Data Solutions’ electronic data capture (EDC) platforms, Clinical Studio and TrialKit, received system updates that added sophisticated reporting features to aid research professionals in tracking study progress through the life of a clinical trial.
Clinical Studio, a web-based enterprise system for EDC, now has reporting objects that can be defined to take advanced looks at study progress and clinical endpoints, and display them directly within a study web page or downloadable PDF. Reporting objects allow clinical research professionals to drag advanced reports onto a single canvas. That canvas can be a web page or PDF document. Any HTML can be intermixed with the various reporting objects to create a flexible and professional report that can be displayed as the home page or any other page in the system.
Additionally, the already-popular study Dashboard has been enhanced with graphics and charts to compliment the many metrics provided. The Dashboard enables users to quickly access accurate, advanced reporting for study progress that provides metrics and graphics for: CRF statuses, query metrics, adverse event distribution, and monitoring and data review progress. Users can export any reports to PDF documents in one simple step.
TrialKit, a fully-featured native mobile app for EDC, is also now equipped with breakthrough reporting capabilities. Research professionals can efficiently generate reports using prepackaged settings directly from their phone or tablet; it also allows for crosstab analysis and longitudinal views of the data. TrialKit offers an interactive and dynamic Dashboard report as well. Within the app, users can quickly maintain visibility of study progress at a glance, directly from their mobile device through easy-to-read, visual, and interactive graphical reports. This is accomplished by tapping on a graph to drill in and view metrics for a particular data set.
