Pekin, IL (PRWEB) March 15, 2018 -- When the 2018 iaedp Symposium officially opens on March 22 at the Omni at ChampionsGate in Orlando, Florida, it will begin as it has for the past 10 years with the traditional Presentation of the Colors by The Orlando Cadet Squadron led by Cadet Commander, C/Lt Jack Chitty followed by the iaedp Chapter State Flags and International Flags, honoring the professionals who come together each year to advance learning, share groundbreaking information and engage with the world’s most renowned and committed eating disorders professionals.
“The iaedp International and iaedp Chapter State Flags celebrate and honor our national chapters and international attendees,” says Bonnie Harken, Managing Director of the iaedp Foundation. “This year professionals will attend from not only the U.S., but also from Canada, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Germany, Italy and Mexico.”
In fact, this year’s Symposium features seven sessions presented in Spanish only, addressing the latest in eating disorder treatment, causes and science – much like the other nearly 70 sessions that are in English. The 32nd annual iaedp Symposium will take place over four days, March 22 - 25, and will feature presentations, workshops and various special events. Registration information can be found at iaedp.com.
Pre-symposium activity kicks-off on Wednesday, March 21, with the return of the popular comprehensive courses.
The Symposium’s opening day on Thursday, March 22 features the conclusion of the pre-certification courses and the grand opening luncheon featuring its traditional International Flag Procession – and stellar presentations that continue through Sunday, March 25.
