A+ Dental Care Provides Free Dental Services to Over 60 Individuals in Need

On Saturday, March 10, volunteers throughout the A+ Dental Care offices in the Sacramento area gathered at the Roseville office on Coloma Way to provide free dental services to the low-income, under-insured local community. With 6 providers, 3 hygienists, and many support staff volunteering their time, the team was able to provide care for more than 60 individuals, amounting to over $40,000 in donated dentistry. Procedures include cleanings, extractions, fillings, and sealants.
Volunteer providers include the five A+ Dental Care partners: Dr. Chris Cooper, Dr. Tim Herman, Dr. Abdon Manaloto, Dr. Kayla Nguyen, and Dr. Flaviane Petersen; as well as Dr. Lee Lo.
Patient Stories
Johny Comilang is a disabled veteran who is paralyzed on his left side and bound to a motor chair. He was very enthusiastic when scheduling his appointment, and maintained his great attitude throughout his time at the office. He said, "Everyone at the office was very polite and professional! I felt #1 to them!" The A+ Dental team was able to provide Johny with great dental care after not having been to a dentist in over two years.
Mark Jones is currently staying at the Gathering Inn, which is a non-profit organization that provides housing and support services for those who are working to get back on their feet and become active members of the community. Mark is overcoming a tough past and is very grateful for programs like this, which helps him move forward from the obstacles he has faced. Despite his past, and only having 4 teeth left, Mark has the most positive outlook on life, and was very appreciative of the care that the team provided for him.
The next Smiles for Everyone Foundation Day of Giving will be held at Bright Now! Dental in Lorain, Ohio on March 24, 2018.
