A Pizza Must Make a Delivery With the Help of a Donut and Pastrami Sandwich in ‘The Planet of Magical Food’
WASHINGTON (PRWEB) March 16, 2018 -- Sometimes the unlikeliest heroes are everyday people. But what about a pizza, a donut and a sandwich?
In a story spanning two continents, a refined pizza, a glazed donut and a chubby pastrami sandwich work together to fulfill the final wishes of a woman separated from her love by war and time in “The Planet of Magical Food” (published by Archway Publishing) by Henry Kaminski. The book features illustrations by the author’s wife, Linda Kusner.
Pizza, the story’s protagonist, is tasked with delivering an object a woman from Naples, Italy, gives him to deliver to a man in New York. Along the way, Pizza is joined by Pastrami Sandwich, a jovial rube who smells of mustard, and the talkative Donut, whose supreme intellect guides the trio to their goal. The group runs into some trouble when they accidentally become criminals, and must run from the police and rotten food who threaten to put a stop to Pizza’s delivery.
The book is based on a story Kaminski came up with on a trip home. “My wife and I with our 5 year old son, Adam, were driving from Sedonna, Arizona back to the Phoenix airport after a wonderful desert vacation,” says Kaminski. “He was bored and said ‘tell me a story.’ This story was the first about ‘The Planet of Magical Food.’”
