Project R.I.S.E

Project RISE allows us to go one step further and donate to non-profit organizations in the United States and Canada who are doing great work in various areas of environmental protection, all on behalf and with the help of our customers.

Busch Systems International has been a leader in the design and retail of recycling, compost and waste containers since the company’s inception in 1985. Comments Mandy Bortolussi, Public Relations Manager: “We have always had a focus on being socially and environmentally responsible. Project RISE allows us to go one step further and donate to non-profit organizations in the United States and Canada who are doing great work in various areas of environmental protection, all on behalf and with the help of our customers.”

The five charities included in Project RISE are: the National Wildlife Federation, 350.org, Alliance for the Great Lakes, Climate Solutions and the National Forest Foundation. States Bortolussi: “All of the organizations were researched with care and our intention this inaugural year is to provide a mix of new and familiar brands customers can identify with. As Project RISE continues, we hope to include other, well-deserving non-profits who are making strides in environmental protection and awareness.”

An optional program, involvement in Project RISE occurs upon completion of a purchase with Busch Systems. Once an order is placed, a redemption code is provided to the consumer which can be then be entered via the Resource Centre, along with the opportunity to select one of the five partner organizations. Donations will be made to each of the non-profits at the end of the 2018 fiscal year and the expectation is that overall participation rates in the program will be high.

Says Bortolussi: “Giving back is a huge part of our company identity and a quality our employees and customers greatly value. It is exciting that while we continue our other philanthropic projects; we can welcome Project RISE as an additional way to be socially accountable. We look forward to working with all of the organizations included in Project RISE!”
