Parchment Expands Partner Program with MaiaLearning to Enable More Learners to Securely Share Admissions Documents
(PRWEB) March 19, 2018 -- Parchment, the leading academic credentials management system, is committed to enabling more learners, in more places, to turn their credentials into opportunities. In working towards that mission of operating in an environment of open standards, Parchment has formed a new cooperative arrangement with MaiaLearning, Inc..
This partnership enables Parchment’s network of over 5,000 admissions offices to accept verified academic credentials electronically and securely through MaiaDocs, part of the MaiaLearning college and career readiness platform, into the same unified inbox they use to collect all electronic application documents. Thanks to a seamless integration between Parchment and MaiaLearning, receivers can filter documents by type, route to destinations, and reference document history.
The streamlined workflow will create additional opportunities for learners, removing barriers and enabling the ordering of academic credential from within tools they’re already using to manage their education path. “Enabling the exchange of credentials for high stake transactions on systems that naturally connect students to opportunities is a natural fit for Parchment,” explained Matthew Pittinsky, Parchment CEO. “The Parchment Partner Program allows us to extend our trusted credential management system beyond our front door. Learners rely on other services to assist them in their pursuit of higher education, and we are happy to develop relationships with these groups to help empower more learners.”
School counseling offices are able to maintain their established policies and workflows. CEO Satish Mirle says, “We are very excited to now offer direct document submission to MaiaLearning schools.”
