'The Giving Keys' Partners With 'She Recovers' To Launch The "Empowered Women Initiative" in Honor of Women's History Month
LOS ANGELES (PRWEB) March 20, 2018 -- The Giving Keys and She Recovers, two female-led companies with a focus on social impact, have joined forces to launch the "Empowered Women Initiative." Their limited edition jewelry collaboration launches today, during Women's History Month, and can be found here: http://sherecovers.co/the-giving-keys/. The Empowered keys sell for $47.00 USD. Quantity is limited. With the keys, the founders hope to create a ripple effect that will change the world.
The gold or silver toned keys, to be produced by The Giving Keys, have been specially designed for this collaboration. #thegivingkeys, founded by Caitlin Crosby, is a social impact focused inspirational accessories company. They hire people transitioning out of homelessness to make jewelry from repurposed keys inscribed with inspirational messages. Buyers are asked to pay it forward by giving the key to someone who they think needs the message.
She Recovers, a women's recovery and empowerment organization, creates welcoming spaces and transformative opportunities on and offline to empower, connect and support recovering women. She Recovers started out as a simple Facebook page created by mother-daughter duo Dawn Nickel and Taryn Strong in 2011. Now, with more than 265,000 followers, She Recovers is the largest online platform available for women seeking or in recovery. Its supportive and loyal community is comprised of women who have faced trauma, addiction, grief, codependency or other life challenges.
Crosby, Nickel and Strong chose the word empowered to describe their piece because it captures how women feel when they are connected and supported. Nickel says "What we love most about our collaboration with The Giving Keys is that we are both committed to empowering people to learn, grow and thrive."
With the common belief that empowering women makes all women stronger, the initiative stays true to The Giving Keys' commitment to social impact. Wearers of the Empowered key are encouraged to embrace the word until it's served its purpose and then gift it to someone who needs the message more.
Crosby says "I believe we are EMPOWERED because we speak up about our imperfect stories of resilience while being vulnerable and fighting to overcome them. It's a reminder to each other that we are not alone. You can do this. We can do this."
