Gustavson pointed out that employment screening for compliance mandates typically include criminal records checks, education verification, employment verification, and the global terror watchlist. He noted that in the case of foreign employees, if the candidate has not worked in the United States for a minimum of seven years it is then required the employer conduct an international criminal check as well as education verification, no matter where the candidate attended college.
