For forty-five years, Reviva Labs has sold its natural skin care products through brick and mortar retailers and, more recently, online via ecommerce websites. The company has found success and always cultivated a “partnership” style relationship with resellers. As of late continual downward pricing pressures driven by online behemoths have forced Reviva Labs to implement a Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) program.

The newly implemented MAP program will be monitored and policed by MAPtrackers under the purview of Reviva Labs. The new policy is being implemented to prevent ongoing price erosion that has left many brick and mortar retailers reeling and backing away from stocking Reviva’s products. “This problem is not unique to us,” stated Jeri Trachtman, V.P. of Sales, “but it’s been heavily affecting us since we’ve always been a very affordable skin care brand. Volatility in online pricing has many retailers concerned they’ll have trouble selling and making a profit. If they grow too worried they might start removing Reviva’s items from their shelves – this will not only hurt us but it will reduce consumer choice and overall availability of Reviva Labs’ products.”

To stop the ongoing pricing wars and potential damage to its brand, Reviva Labs is working to help its long-term brick and mortar resellers while also elevating Reviva’s products where they’re sold online. “Everyone selling Reviva wants to make money and we believe our consumers want the products available online and in stores close to their homes,” stated CEO Ian Strassler. The program is intended to help expand the availability of Reviva’s products as the pricing stabilizes across the board and around the world. By curtailing the downward pricing spiral a larger selection of retailers will find the Reviva Labs brand more attractive – making it more widely available to more consumers.

But as we’ve seen with so many other companies the online world has been brutal on their pricing as eBay, Amazon, and Walmart force prices lower every day,” said, MAPtrackers Operations Manager, Jeff Driscoll. “Our program will help Reviva Labs clean-up the landscape and should foster more competition as additional resellers bring on the Reviva line.”

MAPtrackers proactive technology monitors online activities, tracking and reporting MAP program violations. A series of escalating corrective actions can then be applied to bring violators into compliance. “The end goal,” according to Jeff Driscoll, “is to have everyone within MAP so that everyone can enjoy a healthy bottom line.”

Reviva Labs’ distributors, resellers, and sales representatives have all been notified of Reviva’s latest MAP program. Resellers that don’t currently comply with the MAP program should expect to be contacted by MAPtrackers or Reviva Labs in the near future.
