JW Player, the world’s largest network-independent video platform, today announced the growth and momentum of its Eindhoven, Netherlands office. Since its opening in July 2017 as the engineering and support headquarters for JW Player’s many European clients, Eindhoven has grown to a team of eight.
The Eindhoven office is led by Jeroen Wijering, co-founder and creator of JW Player and who currently serves as its chief innovation officer. Jeroen is responsible for developing new, innovative products like JW Engage, which uses machine learning to help publishers grow video plays and revenue with automated Recommendations, and Video Player Bidding, a market-changing header bidding solution for video. Mr. Wijering will be speaking at the Vidcon Europe conference in Amsterdam on March 22nd.
JW Player’s Eindhoven office also provides local support for its growing base of customers including Sanoma, Talpa Media, PSV, and Q-dance which join longtime customers including Newsmedia. In 2017, JW Player was recognized as a DIGIDAY Awards Europe finalist for its work with Talpa Media in creating an international, cross-platform experience for Talpa Media’s smash hit television show The Voice.

In 2018, the Eindhoven office has plans to expand its team substantially, with the new headcount being focused on product development.
