Keynotes Donald D. Sheets and Victor Calanog to Head Seventh Annual Trigild Spring Lender Conference
Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) March 21, 2018 -- Prominent commercial real estate and finance industry leaders Donald D. Sheets, managing director of Clarion Partners, and Victor Calanog, Ph.D. chief economist and senior vice president of Reis, are this year’s keynote speakers at the annual Trigild Lender Conference Spring 2018. This year’s event will be held in Dallas at Hotel ZaZa from April 18 to 19 and is hosted by Trigild, a San Diego-based real estate services firm specializing in property management, receivership, bankruptcy and advisory services.
Sheets is a member of Clarion’s Debt Investment Committee with nearly 20 years of leadership, property acquisition, asset management, capital formation and restructuring experience across a variety of capital structures, asset types and geographies. He will address how the volume of CRE transactions are signaling a widening disconnect between buyers and sellers – as well as host a discussion of countervailing facts across several topics that point to variations within the U.S. commercial real estate markets.
Calanog, who along with a team of economist and analysts, is responsible for Reis’ market forecasting, valuation and real estate portfolio analytics services. His research has received awards and fellowship support from institutions including the Ford Foundation, the Russell Sage Foundation and the Penn Lauder Center for International Business Research. Not one to shy away from “the big issues” he will discuss the prospects for the economy, multifamily and commercial real estate industries in 2018. Additionally, he will explore what the interest rate policy will mean for cap rates, property valuations and deal flow along with speculating on long- and short-term economic indicators.
“With the commercial real estate industry experiencing a historically long upturn, it is vital to stay ahead of potential challenges and disruptions,” said Judy Hoffman, conference founder and Trigild president. “The Trigild Spring Conference is an opportunity for industry leaders to examine hot button issues, exchange perspectives and strengthen best practices for the benefit of the entire industry.”
