Author J. C. Smith’s Newly Released “Sarah Colleen” Instills the Need to Practice Understanding and Forgiveness into the Hearts of Young Readers
GILMER, Texas (PRWEB) March 27, 2018 -- “Sarah Colleen”: the story of a little girl who must learn to see past a cruel act and learn to forgive. “Sarah Colleen” is the creation of published author, J. C. Smith. He lives in East Texas with his wife, Marie, and his daughter, Sarah. J. C. and his wife are older parents to an unexpected and beautiful angel. “Sarah Colleen” is based, in part, on true events. It is his gift to Marie and Sarah, who he loves very, very much.
“Sarah Colleen is based on my daughter, Sarah. We live in the Piney Woods of East Texas, and we are almost surrounded by forest. I imagine what Sarah would be like as a young teenager exploring the woods with Ruby and Molly. I did much the same as a boy growing up, but with no dogs to keep me company.” --J. C. Smith
Published by Christian Faith Publishing, J. C. Smith’s new book teaches the importance of understanding and forgiveness.
Sarah Colleen is a typical twelve-year-old girl who lives in East Texas. Sarah is smart, friendly, and a bit independent. She loves to play outside, especially in the woods around Pine Creek with her dogs Ruby and Molly.
One day, Sarah sees a man throw a sack into the creek. When she investigates, she discoveres it is full of kittens. She saves two of the kittens, but three of them die. She feels sad, confused, and angry, but her parents help her understand the need for forgiveness.
